The Companion

Inward · Concrete · Values · Flexible

A small circle, deeply loved. You're not on every chat thread but the friends you have, you have for life. Present in the moment, warm without being effusive, you'd rather sit in real silence with one person than make small talk with twelve. You lead with what's right rather than what's strategic and you adapt to whatever the day actually asks for. The people who get close to you describe the same thing: a steadier ground than they'd expected, less performance than the world told them to expect, more room to be the version of themselves they don't show everyone else. Where this archetype shines: long friendships, partnerships that have to weather hard seasons, creative or care-giving work where the person in front of you matters more than the metric on the dashboard, communities of practice that need quiet glue rather than loud leadership. Your blind spot: ambiguity around plans drains you faster than you let on. You can say "I'm easy, whatever you want" right up to the point where you suddenly aren't, and the people around you may not know what shifted because you didn't either. The flexibility is real — but you still need somewhere to land at the end of the day. To grow: notice the small "no" when it shows up, before it has to become a big one. Saying what you actually need is a kindness to the people who want to give it to you.
