PersonalityArchetypePerfectionism Test — Pressure on Yourself, on Others, from Others

The Watched

The demand isn't yours. It's in the room.

You don't hold a hard bar over your own work and you don't hold one over anyone else's — but you feel one held over you. That combination is worth reading carefully, because it means the pressure you're carrying didn't originate with you, and pressure that comes from outside is the kind this literature treats least kindly. Sometimes it is straightforwardly accurate: some rooms really do keep score, and reading that correctly is not anxiety, it's information. Sometimes it is a room you left years ago that still gets a vote. Telling the two apart is the most useful thing you can do with this result, and the test can't do it for you — it can only report that the demand is external, which is already the part most people miss. If this feeling is with you most days, or it keeps you from starting things at all, it is worth saying out loud to someone qualified.
