SkillsArchetypeDo You Think in Pictures or Words? — The Thinking Modes Test

The Audiobook

A day narrated end to end, in sentences.

Your thinking arrives as language and mostly does not stop. Decisions get talked through, plans get spoken, arguments get rehearsed, and the phrasing matters — a thought that is not yet in words does not feel finished. This is the channel most people assume is universal, which is why the discovery that some heads are silent tends to genuinely unsettle readers who land here.

The other two channels are quiet by comparison: you can describe a face precisely and not see it, and you sort out spatial problems by narrating the steps rather than by looking. The strength is that your reasoning is always already in a shareable form — you rarely have to translate. The cost is that anything hard to say is hard to think, and the narration keeps running when you would rather it stopped.
