SkillsArchetypeDo You Think in Pictures or Words? — The Thinking Modes Test

The Still Frame

Bright, detailed, and completely motionless.

Your mind's eye is the strong channel and it works in full colour: faces come back, rooms come back, the light in a particular afternoon comes back. What the images do not do is move. Asked to rotate the object, re-plan the room or run the scene forward, you find the picture will not take direction — it is a photograph, not a model, and no amount of effort turns it into one.

There is no narration underneath it either, which is why you can look at something in your head for a long time without ever putting it into words, and why being asked to describe it feels like translating rather than reading. People with this profile are often the ones who remember exactly where on the page something was written, and cannot reproduce the sentence.
