Pictures and narration both run strong, and they run together: the scene appears and the commentary starts, so remembering something means watching it with your own voice over the top. It is a rich way to think and a memorable one — this pairing is unusually good at holding on to events, because each channel props the other up.
What is missing is manipulation. The picture is vivid but it will not be edited: you can see the room and not work out whether the wardrobe fits through the door, you can see the object and not turn it. So problems that are really about structure get solved the long way, by describing them until the description does the work. It usually gets there. It just does not get there by looking.
